Analysing Opening Sequences - Conclusion

Looking at opening sequences from films from different genres has shown that there are a number of common conventions found in all opening sequences, regardless of the genre that the movie belongs to. These are part of what makes opening sequences what they are, and I will try to include as many of these conventions in the opening sequence I create.
